Lymphoedema Therapy
Lymphoedema is the accumulation of a protein rich fluid in the tissues caused by problems with the lymphatic system. This can be due to a malformation of the lymphatic vessels or damage from surgery, radiation, fibrosis and tissue damage. Lymphoedema can be chronic and permanent but can be manageable if treated early. There is swelling due to excess fluid in a part of the body which is caused by problems with the accumulation of excess fluid due to damage of the Lymphatic system.
